Privacy Policy

At Convixy, we built this platform with one goal in mind — to make document conversion simple, fast, and completely safe. We understand that the files you upload may contain sensitive personal or professional information, and we take that responsibility seriously. This Privacy Policy explains clearly and honestly what happens to your data from the moment you upload a file to the moment your converted document is ready to download.

Who We Are

Convixy is a free online document tool that allows users to convert, compress, merge, and split PDF files without requiring any software installation or account registration. We are committed to providing a trustworthy service that respects your privacy at every step.

What Information We Collect

We do not ask you to create an account, provide your name, or share any personal details to use Convixy. The only data that passes through our system is the file you choose to upload for processing. Beyond that, our servers may log standard technical information such as your browser type, approximate geographic region, and pages visited — this is routine web server logging used solely to monitor performance and prevent abuse. We do not link this technical data to any individual identity.

How Your Files Are Handled

When you upload a file to Convixy, it is transmitted to our server over an encrypted HTTPS connection using TLS (Transport Layer Security) — the same encryption standard used by banks and financial institutions. Once your file reaches our server, it is placed in a secure, non-public directory that cannot be accessed directly from the internet. The file is then processed automatically by our conversion system without any human involvement. No member of our team opens, reads, or interacts with your file at any point.

How Long We Store Your Files

We do not keep your files. Once your converted or compressed document has been generated and made available for download, both the original uploaded file and the processed output are automatically deleted from our servers. This deletion happens within a short window after processing completes. We do not archive, back up, or retain copies of user files for any purpose. If you close the page before downloading, the file is still deleted on schedule — so make sure to download your result before leaving.

How We Use Your Files

Your uploaded files are used for one purpose only: to carry out the specific task you requested, such as converting a Word document to PDF or reducing the size of a PDF file. We do not analyse the contents of your files, extract text from them for our own use, train any machine learning models on them, or use them in any way beyond delivering the service you came for.

Cookies and Analytics

Convixy does not use tracking or advertising cookies and does not use any third-party analytics service to monitor visitor behaviour. Our website may set a basic session cookie (PHPSESSID) which is a standard technical requirement of PHP-based websites. This cookie contains no personal information, is never used to track you across other websites, and expires when you close your browser.

Advertising

Convixy may display advertisements to support the cost of running a free service. These ads are served by third-party advertising networks that may use anonymous cookies to show relevant advertisements based on your browsing behaviour. These networks operate under their own privacy policies, and no file data or personally identifiable information from Convixy is shared with them. You can opt out of interest-based advertising through your browser settings or tools provided by the relevant ad network.

Third-Party Services

To deliver our service, we rely on a small number of trusted third-party technologies, including server infrastructure and document processing libraries. These services are used strictly to operate the platform and are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes. We do not sell, rent, lease, or trade your files or any information associated with your visit to any third party under any circumstances.

Children's Privacy

Convixy is a general-purpose document tool intended for use by adults and older students. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has used the service and submitted a file containing personal information, please contact us and we will ensure any associated data is removed promptly.

Your Rights

Because we do not collect personal data tied to your identity and because uploaded files are deleted automatically after processing, there is typically no stored data for us to retrieve, modify, or erase on your behalf. If you have a specific concern about data that may have been retained — for example, from a technical error — please reach out to us directly and we will investigate and respond as quickly as possible.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in how we operate or to comply with legal requirements. When we make meaningful changes, we will update the date shown at the bottom of this page. We encourage you to check back occasionally if you use Convixy regularly. Continued use of the platform after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

Contact Us

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, concerns about how your data is handled, or would like to report a privacy issue, please get in touch with us at support@convixy.com. We aim to respond to all privacy-related enquiries within 48 hours.
